How to Install the Sophos Endpoint Protection Client Application

1. You will receive an email from Sophos asking you to download the installer file
   • 
2. Click on the relevant link to download the Sophos Endpoint Protection installer.

Note: Before you start installing Sophos Endpoint Protection, please uninstall your existing Antivirus application if you have any.

Installing the Sophos Endpoint Protection Application: (MacOS)

1. Unzip the Installer.
   
2. Open the Sophos Installer.app file to start the installation.
3. The Welcome screen will appear.
   • 
4. Click Install.
5. Enter local machine user credentials that allow application installations.
   • 
6. Click Install Helper.
7. The installation will start.
   • 
     
     
8. Hit Quit once the installation is complete.

Installing the Sophos Endpoint Protection Application: (Windows)

1. 1. Open the SophosSetup.exe  app to start the installation.
      • 
   2. Click Yes at the User Access Control warning.
   3. Click Install to start the installation.
      • 
        
        
   4. Once the installation is successful click Finish (with the checkbox enabled to restart the computer).
      • 
   5. Once the installation is done Sophos will also prompt to set up a new password for the BitLocker.
      • 
   6. Type in the password and click on Save and restart.
   7. The encryption will begin on restart.
      • 
   8. When the PC boots it will ask you to type in the password to unlock the encrypted drive.
   9. Press Enter to continue.
      • 
   10. Once done your windows machine start and your drive will be encrypted.
